About AI Humanize Image
A small, browser-only toolkit for two jobs: restoring photographic texture to images that look synthetic, and helping people read what an image file actually says about its own origin.
Why we built it
Two complaints kept coming up in the same conversation. Photographers and designers were being handed generated images that looked uncannily smooth — clean in a way that no camera is clean — and they wanted the texture back. At the same time, editors, buyers and reviewers were being handed files with no metadata at all and had no practical way to read the little evidence that remained. Both problems are about the same thing: the information a file carries and the way its pixels behave.
Existing tools usually solved this by asking you to upload your image to someone's server. That is a strange thing to require for a task that a browser can do locally, and a worse thing to require when the image is unreleased client work, a private photograph or confidential material. So we built the whole thing to run in the tab, and we kept it that way.
What we do
The humanizer strips identifying metadata from a JPEG or PNG, adds camera-style sensor noise and film grain, and re-compresses the result at a quality level you choose. It removes metadata rather than inventing it: we do not write fake camera models, timestamps or coordinates into files, and we never will. The metadata checker reads a file's EXIF and GPS blocks, provenance markers and naming patterns, and reports them as clues with a completeness figure — never as a verdict.
What we do not do
We do not help anyone pass generated images off as documentary photographs, and we do not provide a way to fabricate provenance. Our position is simple and it is written into our terms: editing an image is normal, misrepresenting where it came from is not. We also do not promise that any particular detector will score your file differently, because we cannot control that and neither can anyone else who is being honest with you.
There is no account system, no cloud history and no queue. Nothing you process is stored anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to be stored — the tool has no server to store it on.
